Hi, I'm Nakiesa, and I've always been a dreamer. I was the kid that made their own everything: radio talk shows, newspapers, skits, games, books, knick nacks, you name it. My favorite thing in the world is to create. My second would to be to tell stories. My personal journey is definitely not one of a straight line; in fact, I've been all over the place. I went to college, got three degress, and a corporate job. I even started a few small businesses along the way. But what was missing was a life I truly loved living.
Just a few months ago I found the bravery to leave my stable and well paying corporate job in search of what would make me happy. Now for the first time in my life I'm out on my own, exploring the world and looking for real human moments and stories to share in my travels.
I'm a female solo traveler and proud of it. From my very first solo trip I became absolutely hooked. It felt so empowering to know I could make it anywhere I found myself in the world. Moreover, because I travel alone I get to meet so many wonderful people and find it's easier to completely immerse myself in the cultures and customs.
I truly believe that the more people out there in the world doing exactly what they love is how we will make the world a better place. So here is my attempt at doing what I love: sharing stories, creating photos, and making memories.
It's my hope that whoever you are and wherever in the world you are, if you're reading this, you also realize that at any point in your life you can do whatever it is you've always dreamed of.
